HIGH BATTS
High Batts is a members only reserve located north of Ripon just off the A6108 and accessed via Hansons Quarry track just past the entrance to Lightwater Valley on the right hand side. The reserve is good for seeing Kingfishers, Lesser Redpolls, Nuthatches, Grey Herons, Siskins, Marsh Tits & Great Spotted Woodpeckers.

DIRECTIONS
Take the A6108 north out of Ripon past the golf club. When you reach Lightwater Valley on your left the road rises up and on the right is the sign for Hansons Quarry - take this track, taking the right and road when it splits and follow that track down to the car park. You will need a code to get through the gate and into the hides.
