RSPB BURTON MERE WETLANDS
Burton Mere Wetlands is a nature reserve run by the RSPB near Ellesmere Port, south west of Liverpool. This reserve is particularly good for spotting waders and also has a large number of Grey Herons & Little Egrets and this year also had Great White and Cattle Egrets.

Adult £4; concession £3; child £2 (under-5s free and first child of family goes free). RSPB members get in for free.
DIRECTIONS
Burton Mere Wetlands is off the A540 (Chester High Road) and just 10 minutes from the M56. Look out for the brown signposts on the A540. Otherwise turn down Puddington Lane - the reserve entrance is just outside Burton village near to Bishop Wilson Primary School.
